Grand Canyon West is just over 2 hours away from Las Vegas by car and the only place where helicopters can fly below the rim of the Grand Canyon or land inside the Grand Canyon. You can book helicopter tours directly at the Grand Canyon subject to availability or you can book one in advance to ensure you get a flight. One advantage to booking in advance is the Grand Canyon West entrance fee (approximately $55 per person) is included in the price of the Helicopter Tour and you can get your flight and entrance tickets all at once without having to wait in separate lines at the main ticketing terminal. You can choose between an air only flight, a landing in the bottom of the canyon with approximately 20 minutes on the ground, or you can take a 20 minute pontoon boat ride on the Colorado River inside the Grand Canyon.
